I’m a little bit sick of people being against this Kony2012 campaign,
“Do you really want to fund the Ugandan military who use rape as a weapon of war?”
Yes, 30% of the donations do go to the military, yes, the military has it’s flaws and yes, Kony isn’t in Uganda any more but the rest of the money goes to fund the technology they need to track Kony down.
The military is disciplined for the things they do, so why the need to express it? Kony as of yet has not been disciplined for what he has done, which is why we need to do something about it.
And to those who say that Kony is in a state of ‘peace’ don’t realise that what that means is that he isn’t kidnapping children in Uganda at the time being, he stops and starts, which is one of his tactics, it ignores the fact that, even though he isn’t kidnapping children for his army at the moment, there are still children in his army being forced to kill and mutilate people, and being sold as sex slaves against their own will.
The Kony2012 campaign is to make Kony ‘famous’, to show awareness to the governments that are unaware of the public’s want for Kony to be brought to justice.
If the governments don’t see a response from the public as a cause of concern then they won’t do anything about it, if they get a big enough response, they’ll take action.

Oh, but if this was in our country. It would be a COMPLETELY different story wouldn’t it.
